By participating, all entrants agree to abide by these Official Rules.
This contest is open to anyone age 18 and older who wants to share their home. Due to legal limitations and shipping costs, only U.S. residents are eligible to win the prizes. International entrants are invited to submit entries for exhibition on We Love Domino, but they are not eligible to win prizes (due to legal complications with gifts being given overseas).
Only one entry per household permitted–you must choose one category to enter.
Once submitted, no contest entry may be changed, altered, or enhanced.
Winner is solely responsible for any and all local, state, and federal taxes incurred upon claiming a prize.
The screen name provided by entrants will be the identity of the entrant and, if selected for a prize, the identity of the winner.
Contest runs for a total of three weeks. The entry period runs from March 2 through March 15th at 11:59pm Eastern Standard Time. At that time, new entries will be closed from consideration. Judges will choose finalists for each category. On Tuesday, March 17th, voting will open to the general public and continue through Sunday, March 22nd at 11:59pm Eastern Standard Time. Winners will be announced on Monday, March 23rd.
Decor/design must have been done by you once you have acquired the piece in your possession. That means that you can’t have hired someone to do the arranging for you, whether professional or not, paid or not. This means your sister can’t have arranged it for you, but you can have received her opinion. You have to made the choice to acquire the items in the room and where they go, vs. having a decorator do it for you. This would otherwise take pages and pages of fine print, but we’re counting on your honor in this matter.
Voting will be different from other contests you may have participated in: voting will be positive only (we’ve learned our lesson vicariously by watching other sites). Our goal here is to accent the positive. Negative doesn’t really help anyone.
After the contest’s closure, participants may contact We Love Domino by emailing ilovedominomag [at] gmail [dot] com and ask that their photos be posted on the site for constructive feedback. It is at the complete discretion of We Love Domino whether or not photos will be posted on the site for consideration.
By submitting any photo or information to this contest, you represent that the submitted photo or information does not and shall not infringe on any copyright, any rights of privacy or publicity of any person, or any other right of any third party, and you have the right to grant any and all rights and licenses to We Love Domino.
You understand and intend that any photo or information submitted by you for this contest may be available for viewing, rating, review and comment on by the public, and understand that comments or ratings with which you disagree or are unhappy about may be published or otherwise become associated with any photo or information you submit to this contest. By submitting any photo or information to this contest, you waive any privacy expectations that you may have.
We will disqualify any entries that are generated by scripts and automated submission.
We Love Domino reserves the right to discard reader votes that in good faith appear to have been manipulated by automatic submissions and scripts.
The decisions of We Love Domino staff are final and binding in all matters relating to this contest.
The winners will be notified by email within five (5) business days of conclusion of contest. Winners must claim their prize within three (3) business days after the date of notification of such prize. A winner’s failure to respond to the prize notification within the specified three (3) business days will be considered such winner’s forfeiture of the prize and an alternate winner may be selected from the pool of eligible entries. If an entrant is found to be ineligible, an alternate winner may also be selected from the pool of eligible entries.
We Love Domino is not responsible for 1) failed, returned or misdirected notifications or prize delivery based on inaccurate information provided by the winner on the Contests entry form, 2) entries and responses to winner notifications or prize delivery which are lost, late, incomplete, illegible, unintelligible, postage-due, misdirected, damaged or otherwise not received by the intended recipient in whole or in part or for computer or technical error of any kind, 3) any electronic miscommunications or failures, technical hardware or software failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmissions which may limit an entrant’s ability to participate in the contest 4) any technical malfunctions of the telephone network, computer on-line system, computer equipment, software, program malfunctions or other failures, delayed computer transactions or network connections that are human, mechanical or technical in nature, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from downloading any part of this contest or 5) any warranty of fitness or merchantability of any prize or the function or operation thereof.
By entering, an entrant agrees to release and hold harmless We Love Domino, and affiliated entities, directors, officers, attorneys, agents, and representatives from any damage, injury, death, loss, claim, action, demand, or other liability (collectively Claims) that may arise from their acceptance, possession and/or use of any prize or their participation in this promotion, or from any misuse or malfunction of any prize awarded, regardless of whether such Claims, or knowledge of the facts constituting such Claims, exist at the time of entry or arise at any time thereafter.
Any person attempting to defraud or in any way tamper with this Contest will be ineligible for prizes and may be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
We Love Domino reserves the right to modify the rules of the Contests in any way or at any time. We Love Domino reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend this Contest should viruses, bugs or other causes beyond their control corrupt the administration, security or proper play of the Contests.
